The origin of the Paxiavich family is unknown. It is a family that started with common status but later rose to nobility through their good deeds and contributions to Asmodae. There are possible records left to the living head of the household but their existence is debatable. The family surname originates from the Atreian word paxiaydr which in English translates to bequeath (to dispose of personal property, especially money by last will, to hand down; pass on, and/or to commit; entrust.) The root of the word (paxia) was taken and adapted to the last name of the household. The Paxiavich family lives up to it's surname by recording the events around them and of their own family members to great detail and passing them down in books, documents, journals, etc. The tradition of giving first names is actually a bit similar to the way their last name came into existence. The parents would find a word with a definition that they feel is in some way or form going to be a part of their child and/or their child's destiny. The parents would then alter the word just enough to depart form the original spelling and create it into a name. Diceral is a perfect example of this. His name derives from the word visceral (characterized by or proceeding from instinct rather than intellect: a visceral reaction, characterized by or dealing with coarse or base emotions). The letter "v" was changed to a "d" and the letter "s" was taken out all together. Oddly enough, this naming tradition proved to be rather interesting because just about every known family member can connect with their name and its hidden meaning. Diceral once again is a good example of this because he heavily relies on his intuition and emotional ques which seem to never fail him. His name even contains a hidden pun (dice) that pertains to his class, the assassin, which one could say "dice up" their enemy with their daggers/swords.

Even though his name would be Telanym in Atreian, in the end, since every language (Asmodian, Elysean or Atreian) translates to the respective player into English, the description on how the family chooses the first names will still apply to any language given. I am choosing to keep the names in English for the sake of understanding the hidden word and meaning behind the name.)
~THE GLORY OF ATREIA~
(XXX B.C - 1000 B.C.)
Before the Millennium War began, there are family records left that talk about the way life was before any conflict began. They speak of lush lands, happy inhabitants and other details which all add up to a peaceful and glorious Atreia. There seem to be no records about where the family exactly lived during this time except that the general area of where they chose to stay was on the north side of the planet.
~THE MILLENNIUM WAR~
(1000 B.C. - 0)
During this time period the family was not involved in any battles with the Balaur but some records have been lost or hidden away. Either relatives encountered Balaur raiding parties that might have burnt down some villages where the records were being written or some members decided to hide the documents for safe keeping until it was time for future generations to find them. The frequency of written documents does increase however around the time before the tower shattered. This could be due to the fact that the deavic military grew increasingly bigger and more organized which allowed for better safety and somewhat improved living condition for humans. It could also be thanks to the ascension of a few family members. The ascensions all stayed within the main branch of the family but that was soon to change. Around the year of 700 B.C., records indicate that since that point on, every member of the family has ascended and still continue to do so today. Also, there are a few papers mentioning that the main branch of the family lived in Basfelt village in Altgard at this time.
~THE CATACLYSM~
Diceral was born about 15 years before this event. It was two days right before the shattering that he ascended. An interesting thing happened that day. His body aged a few years to the look of a young man in his twenties. It is speculated that due to the high Aether disturbance at the moment of the tower's break, Diceral's body reacted to the disturbance by aging. Since he only ascended two days before and was still very sensitive when it came to the interaction with Aether, it is possible that his body temporarily lost it's ability to grow at a normal and steady pace. The issue and it's given theories are still being researched by him.
~THE RISE TO NOBILITY~
(0 - 249 A.C.)
After the Cataclysm, the north side became Asmodae and the south, Elysea. Diceral joined he Asmodian military and chose the combat path of an assassin. While he was generally busy with military matters, the Shedium Lords began the building of Pandemonium, and the Paxiavich family took it upon themselves to help fellow deavas in the designs and construction of the capital city as well as to help many people in their struggle to rebuild their lives after the Cataclysm. These acts, and the little fame the family already received during the Millennium War, has brought about the family's rise to nobility. In the year 22 A.C. the family was granted it's title of nobility and was welcomed into Vanahal. Since that day, the Paxiavich moral belief of what makes a true noble has been passed down flawlessly. The belief states that "Nobility is not something that is gained by the ability of a family to have a deavic bloodline, it is not gained by joining a legion, it is not gained by working closely with an Empyrean Lord, nor is it gained by leading massive amounts of troops into war. Nobility is gained through the desire to help your fellow man and to rise above the grasps of hatred. It is gained through vigilance and through discernment which ultimately take you to something that is more valuable than anything in existence; truth". Soon after, the family began designing it's crest. The design features two kitters on each side of a shield with a blue color schemed mantle of flourishes. There is also a helmet that has 5 gradient colored feathers. The feathers on the helmet represent the Shedium Lords. The white kitter on the left represents vigilance while the black kitter on the right represents discernment. The same color scheme and meaning is used in the keys that decorate the shield which in the center has an elaborate symbol that represents truth. Passion and Purity were added to the representation in the year 222 A.C. when many of the family members began their interests in the arts such as painting and music. This was also the year in which the entire family began archiving all it's existing documents and written works while appointing specific members to be record keepers and writers. Of course, these actions were not limited to just the appointed individuals. All members of the family were allowed to write as they pleased and archive their writings, art and music. The more perspectives there were, the better.
~VANISHING~
(249 A.C. - 700 A.C.)
When the Abyss was discovered, the Paxiavich were heavily involved in the war. This was the time period when many members were lost forever. Kisk technology was far from perfected and the abyss battles were vicious. Diceral was one of the lucky few that survived the battles that the family was part of. Quite a few private ceremonial services were held during this time as well. When the family eventually backed away from being involved in some of the battles, peace seemed to return to the household. Then, in the year 522 A.C. everyone but Diceral and his grandparents left for the abyss one day. His father, who was the head of the household, stated that there was military business they needed to take care of as a whole. They left, and they never came back. Diceral was torn and heartbroken. Him and his grandparents moved back to Basfelt village where the family use to exclusively live hundreds of years ago. His grandparents told him that all will be alright and that as long us the three of them stick together, they can rebuild the family's former glory. That statement of hope soon became nothing but words. In 622 A.C., his grandparents left for Pandemonium to pick up some family records. They also never came back.
~INTERNAL EXPANSE~
(700 A.C. - Present Day)
Since the disappearance of his whole family, Diceral has tried to understand the fate he has been dealt. He did rest easy in the fact that the family still retains it's noble status as long as he lives, but for the most part, he continued to serve the Asmodian Military with little motivation and search for everyone with little hope. As time passed though he gave up on finding them and tried focusing on his duties as much as possible. Even so, time did not quench his desire to have his family back. He still wished there was something left behind by any of them that might be a clue as to what truly happened, but there was nothing. The case has been passed off as a loss in the abyss during a possible enemy encounter. As hard as it was for him to understand how a whole family of Deavas could vanish in one day, he believed it. There was nothing else he could do. Left with a feeling of confusion and emptiness, he kept on living the way his family would expect a Paxiavich to live. A loving individual who aids anyone in struggle.
~A NEW CHANCE, AN OLD PAIN~
(Present Day)
Later on, he heard about a legion known as the Symphony of Storms where every member was a noble. At first, he was skeptical about the fact that every member who joined became nobility even though they weren't before initiation, but he eventually decided to join them and was accepted among their ranks. However he did not have the best start with this new chapter in his life as his constant desire to have his family back drove him to the edge. He attempted suicide in a far off part of the abyss where he hoped he could return to the flow of Aether and be at peace. The suicide did fail though, him being a deava, he returned to a kisk. This baffled him because he thought he flew far enough into the abyss from the kisk he bound himself at in Gelkmaros. Either way, he was thankful he lived. He thought about what his family would really want for him and he knew it was not that. After the entire incident was over, Diceral returned to his normal self. A bit ashamed about what he had done, but otherwise still strong and ready for whatever comes his way next.
~SPARK~
(Present Day)
A few months later, he heard a small rumor that his family might still be alive. This renewed his desire to find them but it also got him thinking about the state of Atreia. He knew he hated waring with the Elyos. He thought of them as his comrades once and even if the Cataclysm was their fault, he realized he was over it. The war against the Balaur cannot be won alone. Deavas and humans alike, of both sides, must mend and find a way to bring Atreia back to what it used to be or we all perish. So now, he has set on finding out a way to help end this war and hopefully find out the truth about his family. He keeps the half about ending the war to himself because he knows that many of his fellow Asmodians, and legionaries in The Symphony, might see it as treason to be in support of the Elyos in any way, but he knows the truth and that is all he cares about. With these two goals in mind, he started his new quest. With the Symphony as his second family and with the support of everything he was taught to be and stand for as a Paxiavich, he continued his search and his desire to help Atreia and its people.
