New Applicant's Guide

Welcome to the Symphony of Storms New Applicant's Guide! We appreciate your interest in applying to our legion. Due to the overarching focus of our legion, we screen our applicants thoroughly to ensure the best possible fit. While we don't wish to scare anyone away, we are only looking to recruit players solely interested in the unique experience we have to offer, and a dedication to completing the application process is necessary.

Please keep in mind that Symphony of Storms is primarily a roleplaying guild, and we will be looking for members who display an understanding of this and a desire to participate, while also playing a character that fits within the given, appropriate boundaries of Aion lore.Symphony of Storms does have a level requirement of 10+ for all applicants. Please be sure you meet this requirement before applying. Applicants below the minimum level will be immediately declined.

Also note that our age requirement of 18 or older is strictly enforced. Underage applicants will only be considered if sponsored by an existing member who already meets the age requirement or the applicant displays above-average credibility. However, knowing someone within the legion if you are a minor does not guarantee you entry.

Further more, it is prefered that all applicants apply with their main characters. While Symphony does host the alts of several members within the legion, we ask that your committment to our legion remain with your most frequently played character.

Below is an overview of the steps involved in applying.

Four-Step Recruitment Process

  • Step One: Read Through Available Legion Resources

We expect our applicants to be familiar with our IC and OOC charters as well as our F.A.Q. and Code of Conduct. We also expect that our applicants have read through this guide and understand what information we will be looking for in the answers to our application questions.

After reading through the legion's resources, applicants will be equipped with a full understanding of what our legion encompasses and what is expected of them as a member. Applicants may then fill out our application questions as outlined in this guide. Once an applicant has submitted his or her application, it will be forwarded to a private forum where our members will review it and provide their input. Please note that incomplete applications will be immediately declined, and a copy of the original application provided to the applicant with missing information identified. The applicant will then be instructed to resubmit his or her application.

  • Step Three: IC and OOC Interviews

Following a favorable review of an application, applicants will be contacted via PM to arrange for both an In-Character and Out-of-Character interview with an officer of the legion, so checking up on your PM box is important! These interviews will cover any additional questions stemming from an application, gauge an applicant's personality and character depth, and give applicants an opportunity to have their own questions or concerns addressed. Applicants must complete both interviews favorably in order to continue on to step four.

  • Step Four: Induction Ceremony

After completing the interviews, a final decision will be made about an applicant's compatibility with the legion, and if found favorable the applicant will be invited to attend an induction ceremony in his or her honor held on the Wednesday after they have completed their interviews. The applicant will then receive his or her legion tag and cloak, communication shard (Tower Shard), and a home of their own located in Iollu Hills of Brusthonin. Their activity and behavior monitored for two weeks by the officership. If the applicant is deemed unfit for the legion, they will be spoken to or removed within the that time.
